What is Art Therapy?

Art Therapy is a combination of art and psychology and is a healing process that uses images, art media, and creativity. It is an excellent therapy to reduce stress, anxiety, and depression. Art provides a new language for the verbally challenged and works with the full brain, logical and emotional.

Should I know Art to join Art Therapy?

No. There are absolutely no prior art skills required. Art is only a means to express subconscious feelings which may be difficult to share. Images influence emotion, thoughts, and well-being. How the brain-body reacts to the experience of drawing, painting, or other art activities clarifies why art therapy may be effective with various populations.

About The Facilitator:

Piyush Jain is a Psychologist, Trauma-Informed Expressive Art Therapist (UNESCO-CID), clinical hypnotherapist (CHI), counseling psychologist, Illustrator, and Actor who has worked for more than a decade in corporate settings, specializing in coaching, learning, design, illustration, and theatre. They founded Art Adventures Studio, a safe space for Art, wellness, and learning. They are a UNESCO-certified Expressive Art Therapist and Clinical Hypnotherapist certified by the California Institute of Hypnotherapy. They have also been trained in the Trauma-informed approach in expressive art therapy from Dr. Cathy Malchiodi.

Cancelation Policy

Please note that all stand-alone bookings for 1-on-1 sessions canceled 48 hours (2 days) in advance will be fully refunded.

 

However, if you cancel within 24 hours of the booking, only 40% of the amount will be refunded.

 

For Internships, Group Therapy sessions, Workshops, and Monthly Plans, NO Refunds or Rescheduling will be provided. In case we cancel the 1-on-1 sessions or group sessions full refund will be provided.
